High School Teachers Learning to Sail With Maritime

Our
ministry moves forward chiefly by divine opportunities. One such
opportunity that recently came up was the formation of a women’s sailing
class with teachers from both of the islands’ two high schools. For two
months now Reuben has been teaching three teachers from the northern high
school, and three teachers from the southern high school. There have been
classroom sessions complete with quizzes, lectures, and demonstrations.
There have also been on-board sail training with the women actually
sailing the boats. We are using Reuben’s parents’ boat, our new
Macgregor 26, and an 18 foot sloop that we have borrowed from a local
friend. A very wonderful element of this situation is that Pastor Jimmy’s
brother Chester has been working with Reuben on the class. Chester has
recently given his life fully to the Lord, and we are praying that our
involvement with Chester will help him grow in Christ.
