OUT-ISLANDERS ON A MISSION!

14th 2005 God used Rick and Sandy Redd and James Fox as catalysts to
mobilize a mission team from Long Island. This team joined up with a
mission team from our home church doing disaster relief in New Orleans.
Five Long Islanders from First Assembly of God who have been involved with
many MM training sessions and activities were part of this team. Also,
Pastor Frank of First Assembly went. Maritime Ministries and First
Assembly both donated $1000 each to help with the team’s travel
expenses. Our vision of seeing Bahamians mobilized into missions is
happening, and the really God-glorifying thing about this trip is the
timing. It all happened with about two or three weeks notice. It is hard
to describe the incredible obstacles to something like this ever
happening. When it was first suggested it almost seemed impossible, but
within an incredibly short period of time, the team was on the ground in
New Orleans! God did it. This trip was life changing for the islanders,
and they had a big impact on hurting Americans as well.
