“Baha-Redemption”
As a result of different ministry events and softball
coaching God enabled Rick and Sandy to establish a new mission team that
is centered around Hip-Hop dance worship as an outreach tool. This is a
team of five high school girls who have dubbed themselves “Baha-Redemption”.
The team has weekly meetings with Rick and Sandy for practice and a Joyce
Myer study adapted for teens. They have done a number of local service
outreaches and performances. The most exciting thing has now happened! As
this newsletter is being written, the team is on a mission trip with Rick
and Sandy in Richmond, VA! The girls and Rick and Sandy worked hard at two
different fundraisers to raise travel money, and members of our home
church staff in Richmond are assisting with housing, logistics, and
ministry itinerary. Seeing a youth mission team leave this island has been
something that we have been waiting for and working toward since 1997. It
is beginning! |
